No. This is a myth BPB Plasterboard (and all plasterboard) is not the cause for peaking or popping but it is affected by these problems. The cause of peaking and popping is the movement of the framing to which the plasterboard is fixed to. Slight movement in the framing can cause major problems, and for some time after installation.
