Saint-Gobain named Construction Product Manufacturer of the Year

Saint-Gobain, the world-wide leader in construction materials and the manufacturer of BPB products, has been named as ‘Construction Product Manufacturer of the Year 2008’ at the prestigious Contract Journal Construction Industry Awards.  More than 800 people attended the Awards, designed to recognise outstanding business performance throughout the construction industry, held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on Monday 22nd September.

The award submission included information about our new products such as Vario and EcoClear, about our investment in two new plasterboard and plaster plants and details of our innovation, sustainability and people.  During the awards ceremony it was commented that the breadth and depth of what Saint-Gobain can offer the construction industry was key to winning this award, which was accepted by Peter King on behalf of Saint-Gobain.
    
Another Saint-Gobain business, British Gypsum, was also short listed this years ‘Environmental Leadership Award’ and should be extremely proud to have made the shortlist in a year that saw a record number of entries were received.
